ABOUT THE SERIES

"Human civilization and our planet are at a crossroads. If we continue racing ahead, if we continue to ignore the alarm bells of our planet going off, it is unlikely modern civilization will thrive much longer. Now is the perfect time to stop and listen to those who can help us change course toward a more sustainable path. Explorer At Large offers you the chance to meet those people and cultures and help build a bridge to a better future for our planet and all its inhabitants."

- Josh Bernstein, Executive Producer & Host, Explorer At Large

Where are we going as a civilization?

Over the past two and a half centuries, the promises of industrialization and technology have changed the face of our planet. But have they made our lives better? Have they helped the health and wellness of our planet and its flora and fauna? Have they made us any happier in our day to day lives?

Over eight billion humans now live on planet Earth and two things are clear:

  1. Our current path is not sustainable, and

  2. We must create a new future for humanity (and the other beings on our planet) to survive and thrive.

Explorer At Large, a new series hosted by Josh Bernstein and funded through donations to the First Light Foundation, is committed to engaging the public by asking questions and seeking answers to help us chart a path to a sustainable, equitable, and just world where everyone can prosper.

More to come in the months ahead as we take the necessary steps to bring this series to the world. Contact us if you'd like to learn more and help support our mission.
