CONTENT INTO CLASSROOMS - CENTRAL OHIO
With the successful completion of the Pilot Phase, Explorer At Large began its Implementation Phase to test its content during the 2017-2018 school year in select schools and classrooms in Central Ohio.
Our plan is to place XAL content (videos, study guides, field trips, and family moments) in front of a selection of roughly 600 students (grades K, 3, and Afterschool) to track specific goals and outcomes prior to XAL's national launch in 2019 in the Scale Up Phase.
XAL's Instructional Unit design and implementation in Ohio is being managed Drs. Annalies Corbin and Sheli Smith of the PAST Foundation in Columbus. The Research Design and Evaluation component of the Implementation Phase is being designed and supervised by Drs. Martin Storksdieck and Kelly Riedinger of Oregon State University's Center for Research on Lifelong STEM Learning.
